A native of Chapel Hill, NC with strong family ties to Charleston, SC, I grew up in a family that placed a heavy emphasis on academia. Both of my parents were teachers, and authors, and there was always a lot of art and music in the house. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Communications and have worked in sales most of my adult life. I have worked as an Executive Recruiter, managing the Washington D.C. /Northern Virginia/Maryland territory for a large Telecom Sales Recruiting firm placing Sales Executives with expertise in selling such products as dark fiber, Voice Over IP, High Speed Internet, and telecommunications routers, switches and equipment. I have over 8 years in phone and data sales myself as a Corporate Sales Executive with Alltel and Sprint Wireless receiving multiple awards for top sales. In Real Estate with Prudential since 2005, I sold over $4 million dollars in my first year, with over $13 million dollars in listings including 2 new home communities. I was awarded the Prudential Honor Society Award, the Wrightsville Beach Rising Star Award, and was named Rookie of the Year in the Wrightsville Beach office. Most recently I have been awarded the Top Sales Producer Award for the Wrightsville Beach office for 2009 and was ranked second in Sales Revenue for 2009 out of all the agents in the Prudential Laney franchise. At home, I am married to Michael, and am mother to three very active kids ranging from first grade to a senior in high school. Michael got his Real Estate license in 2007 and helps me with my growing real estate business while providing very valuable support on the home front. My kids are very important to me, and I love being a Mom. I also own a preschool in Brunswick County called Kids At Play. I am a real estate investor who owns a real estate development company also, so I understand where my clients are coming from. I have always put in long hours to make sure the job gets done. Your satisfaction is extremely important to me. My Philosophy I would like to share my philosophy, so you know what you can expect from me professionally and personally. First, a client can expect my honesty, loyalty, and advocacy. Second, a client can expect to have fun. I love to laugh and you can bet I will share some fascinating stories. But most of all, I will work hard and put in a lot of hours to get the job done. Make no mistake though, we are going to have fun while we work. It’s a promise! I have been in sales for as long as I can remember, and I absolutely love what I do. I give credit for my sales talents to my grandfather who was The Master. He was so well-respected and well-liked, and I strive to be just like him. He and I do business the same way, and I hope it doesn’t sound hoky, cause it’s true…we just make friends and then do business with our friends. My theory is that if you concentrate on the people, not the dollar signs, success will follow, and yes, the referrals will roll in which makes life in sales a LOT easier. I have built my business on that premise. Oh, and closing deals is how I get high in life…and I get paid to boot so I can take care of my family!! My main purpose in any real estate transaction is to be a personal consultant and to use my time and knowledge to help people make good decisions. My responsibility is to make the deal as smooth as possible and to remain calm and collected at all costs and to keep my clients informed and prepared. Please trust me to take care of you. I enjoy everything this wonderful area has to offer. A North Carolina native, I grew up outside Charlotte, NC and attended college at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. After obtaining my degree, I moved and worked for a tax litigation law firm in Washington, DC. Wanting to travel, I took several years to live and work in Japan, serve as a marketing director for a non-profit organization, and work as a paralegal. After visiting friends here on the coast, I knew I wanted to make Wilmington my permanent home. With all the wonderful opportunities I have experienced here, it became clear that real estate would allow me the chance to show others ALL that this beautiful coastal community has to offer.
